San Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. brought showtime to the Big Show yesterday on his first game back from the COVID-19 injured list. He went 4-for-4 with a dinger to boot. The mixture of productivity and efficiency put him slightly above (in terms of OPS) the Baltimore Oriolesโ€™ Trey Mancini who went 4-for-5 with 2 home runs.

New York Yankeesโ€™ $11 million gamble, aka Corey Kluber, came good yesterday. No, scratch that. He came great, pitching a no hitter against the Texas Rangers (his team last season). He was so dominant that he was actually one walk away from a perfect game. He had his old dominant slider going. If heโ€™s returning to form, opposing teams should worry. Heโ€™s won the Cy Young twice. Maybe heโ€™s shooting for a third?

While Cincinatti Redsโ€™ left fielder Jesse Winker technically holds the top hitting slot for Thursdays, heโ€™s been injured so weโ€™ll slide down to the next in line: Yordan Alvarez. The Astros outfielder has started the season well and has maintained his hot form. In the last 7 games heโ€™s been hitting .333. Pull back to his last 7 games, and his batting average increases to .391.
