THE SONG: Sometime.
WHO: Ritt Momney.
WHY IT’S HOT: There’s a carefree swagger to the way this song carries itself. A danceable 4/4 beat is reassuring in its straightforwardness. There’s a late 1990s feel to it as if the Pumpkins’ 1979 crashed into Sugar Ray’s Someday. Mostly, this song stands out for a single line that I’m sure pretty much everyone can relate to after all the pandemic lockdowns and general madness. “I’m probably gonna take some time for me,” Jack Rutter sings. I can get down with that.
WANT MORE? Ritt Momney sings Corrine Bailey Rae.
WORDS: brice.
