Data Dependent: DeMar DeRozan pips Harden for last night’s top scoring spot (NBA)

San Antonio Spurs’ DeMar DeRozan scored 34 points in a losing effort. The Los Angeles Clippers came out on top in a 116-111 victory at the Staples Center. He beat out the Houston Rocket’s James Harden for the most points for the evening. Earlier in the evening, the Rockets pounded the Golden State Warriors 107-86. Stephen Curry did not play. Raymond Green did not scream at Kevin Durant. They had no fire.

San Antonio Spurs’ LaMarcus Alrdridge led the way in rebounds for the evening. The Rockets’ Clint Capela came in second.

Top nod in assists went to the Denver Nuggets’ Nikola Jokic, leading them to a 138-93 blowout of the Atlanta Hawks.

Bryan Forbes led the way in 3-pointers made. The more interesting stat is a glaring dearth of Golden State Warriors on this list.

To finish off today’s NBA Edition of Data Dependent, here’s a look at last night’s Top 5 Plays per the NBA.
