In honor of O.J. Simpson’s release from prison, allow me to offer up these first two podcasts. They’re both hard to believe and will leave you scratching your head. The first podcast is a recent episode from Badlands. It recounts in harrowing and sometimes hilarious detail how O.J. tried to get his career memorabilia back from a dealer by sticking him up. As the story moves forward, it’s clear what a complete clusterf*** the whole misguided escapade really was. The whole thing borders on such complete stupidity and incompetence, O.J. kind of deserved to get caught.
The second podcast is a short segment from Sportsland (Badlands’ younger sibling) that features sportscaster and radio host Dan Patrick as he tells the story of the time OJ asked him whether he thought he was guilty or not.
Having seen Dr. Anthony Fauci do the media rounds yesterday morning and fielding the same questions about the Omicron variant over and over again, it’s hard not to feel bad for the man. He looks completely exhausted and emotionally spent. It’s obviously been a long two years. This episode of Gimlet Media’s Science Vs. features a slightly more energetic Anthony Fauci. That said, you can hear the resignation in his voice when discussing the new Sars-CoV-2 variant.
