NOW SHOWING: The “Mars: Science and Culture” exhibit combines striking images from Mars exploration spacecraft with movie posters and memorabilia, showcasing the evolution of our understanding of Mars alongside its portrayal in popular culture and science fiction.
COMING SOON: On Friday, Dec. 1, the Museum will participate in Albuquerque’s Old Town Holiday Stroll, offering educational activities, holiday cheer, shopping at NatureWorks Discovery Store, and access to the Naturalist Center and Observatory.
GEOGRAPHY: “Alamosaurus: A New Mexico Icon” is a new exhibit that highlights the Alamosaurus sanjuanensis, a massive sauropod discovered in northwest New Mexico in 1921, featuring fossils and exploring its history and impact. Located in Cretaceous Hall on the museum’s 2nd floor, the exhibit delves into the life and habitat of one of the largest dinosaurs to roam what is now New Mexico.
